Amin Ahmadzadeh

Amin Ahmadzadeh, a Gainesville, FL native, graduated from the University of Florida in 2015 where he received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. His desire to make a difference and improve quality of care has driven him to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration degree at his alma mater. Amin is excited to begin his new journey as well as develop his leadership skills so that he can serve a dynamic healthcare industry with integrity, empathy and effectiveness. Outside of healthcare, his interests include watching the Premier League, playing tennis and traveling.

Mary Akyol

Mary Akyol, from Tampa, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and a minor in Health Disparities. Her immeasurable passion to improve the quality and deliverance of health care for low-income and minorities, fueled Mary to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration. The experiences Mary has been involved in, whether personally, culturally, or academically, have shaped who she has become and will become in the future as a healthcare leader. Natalie Boruk

Natalie Boruk, from Clearwater, FL, graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in Business Administration. Her desire to continue growing in her business management and marketing techniques, as well as her passion for healthcare, has led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Health Administration. Keandra Brown-Davis, originally from Toronto, Canada, graduated from the Florida State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders, and with minors in Business and Psychology. Her personal experiences and her desire to pursue a career that would make a positive impact on her community, led her to a graduate degree in Health Administration. Katherine Cairnes

Katie Cairnes, from Hobe Sound, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Austin Champoux Austin Champoux

Austin Champoux was born and raised in DeLand, Florida, and is currently a triple gator at the University of Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Marketing in December of 2015, and his first Masters Degree in International Business in July 2016. Austin is currently pursuing his second Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration where he is interested in becoming an administrator for a large hospital as well as working with the government to improve healthcare. On his free time he likes to continue his strong involvement with the University of Florida where he is the current Allocations Chairmen for the Student Senate, a member of Florida Blue Key, a student ambassador with the Florida Cicerones, and a former Gator Growl Director.

Karen Cohen

Karen Cohen was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. She graduated from Towson University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Management and minor in Business Administration, where she was also a student athlete on the cross country and track and field teams.  Her passion for healthcare, helping others, and having been influenced by her sister, who has autism, as well as her teammates has led her to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration. Karen looks forward to using her skills obtained from previous work and personal experiences to improve quality of care for patients and to provide them with the best healthcare services as efficiently and effectively as possible. Outside of healthcare, she enjoys running, traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, and spending time with her friends and family.

Ashish Dhar Ashish Dhar

Ashish is an expert in healthcare, business management and information technology. He currently serves as the Director of Traana Group, Inc. and leads a number of cross-border health and technology initiatives across USA and India. In the past, he has worked with financial and technology companies in New York City. An ACHE member, Ashish holds a masters in engineering from the University of Central Florida and bachelors in engineering from prestigious VJTI-Mumbai. When not working, he likes to travel, watch ice-hockey and play golf. Ashish was born in Kashmir, India and is now settled in Ocala, Florida.

Kody Ebach

Kody Ebach was born and raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended Northern State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Financial Services in 2015. Developing a passion for healthcare through family experiences, Kody decided to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Florida. Marissa Falcone Marissa Falcone

Marissa Falcone, from Hollis, New Hampshire, graduated in May 2015 from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics and a minor in Chemistry.  Her current interests in health care include improving communication in health care facilities, emphasizing value of care, increasing patient satisfaction and cost reduction.  Marissa looks to combine multidisciplinary approaches to solve problems facing the ever changing health care industry.  While she is a Canes fan at heart, she is happy to be pursing her Masters in Health Administration at UF.  In her spare time she enjoys watching football, eating tacos, and spending time with friends.

VJ Fitzpatrick VJ Fitzpatrick

VJ Fitzpatrick was born in Chicago and raised just outside of St. Louis in O’Fallon, Missouri. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Society in 2016 where he was a student-athlete on the varsity football team. His passion for helping people and making a difference in the lives of others pushed him to pursue a Master of Health Administration. His particular interests lie in the issues revolving around cost, quality, and access in healthcare as well as ethics and law. A true gator at heart, VJ is looking forward to finding his niche in healthcare through education, utilization of the resources provided within the program, and then graduating representing the University of Florida in the best way possible.

Ciera Hall

Ciera Hall, from Fort Myers, Florida, graduated from the University of South Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in General Business. Her desire to do meaningful work and make an actual difference in people’s lives led her to a career in healthcare, and her ability to thrive in leadership roles is what ultimately drove her to pursue a Master of Health Administration. Aligning with her passion to help others, she is particularly interested in quality and process improvement to ensure a positive experience for the patient and also for the healthcare provider. Ciera has also participated in medical mission trips to countries with low access to healthcare and is interested in incorporating similar efforts into her professional career.  Outside of healthcare she enjoys running, spending time with her dogs, and exploring the beautiful city around her.

Ashley Harrold

Ashley Harrold, from Boca Raton, FL, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. While she was teaching through Teach for America, she learned that her student’s health was negatively impacting their education and personal lives. This motivated her to continue her education, so that one day, all children will be able to live healthy lives and focus on their education, personal goals and professional aspirations. Leilani Johnson

Leilani Johnson was born in Millington, Tennessee and raised in various cities in both Japan and Florida, including Yokosuka, Misawa, Pensacola, and Jacksonville. She received her Bachelor of Health Science degree and minors in Communication Studies and Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida in 2015. Chris Kovacs Christopher Kovacs

Christopher Kovacs, from Gainesville, Florida, graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in History.  His passion for healthcare piqued while working at Florida Hospital Flagler, where he thrived when given the opportunity to develop an in-house program to aid patients in securing financial assistance through Medicaid or Disability, while tracking charges.  While acquiring experience working alongside administrators and upper management, he was inspired to further his education and pursue his MHA from the University of Florida.  Christopher is eager to learn more about the ever changing and dynamic field of healthcare and looks forward to being in a position to enhance healthcare systems throughout his career.

Rand J. Rasmussen Rand Rasmussen

Rand Rasmussen moved to North Florida from Sandy, Utah. He studied Health Care Administration and Communications at Brigham Young University – Idaho and proceeded to work in a fast, upscale environment, assuring patient satisfaction as an E.V.S. associate. Passionate about golf and elderly care, the move to the South was a natural fit. With continuous support from family and faculty, Rand has felt immense gratitude to certain individuals for their mentorship along the way. Nadjy Kisha Renelus Nadjy Renelus

Nadjy Kisha Renelus was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. Teddy Schrader Teddy Schrader

Teddy Schrader, from San Antonio, Florida, received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Tampa. He wanted to build on his business acumen and develop a better understanding of the healthcare field which lead him towards pursuing a Master of Health Administration. Teddy’s passion for healthcare stems from a desire to improve the relationship between physicians, patients, and administrators. Zeinab Shaaban Zeinab Shaaban

Zeinab Shaaban, a Fulbright Grantee from Lebanon, graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Michelle Singh Michelle Singh
