Class of 2018 graduate, Leilani Johnson, currently works as the Project Manager for ambulatory operations within UF Health Physicians where she is tasked with the research, creation, and execution of project work plans in support of the financial, clinical, and operational mission for the organization. This includes budgetary and logistical operations in addition to communicating successfully with key stakeholders and organizational personnel to ensure all properly adhere to UF Health, UF, and UF Health Physicians policies. No stranger to the UF Health environment, Johnson has had the opportunity to work within UF Health Shands, UF College of Medicine, and UF Health Physicians since 2015 after completing her undergraduate degree. John Whiteside, MHA, MBA, reflects on the influence of the UF MHA program nearly nine years following graduation. A Class of 2014 alumnus, Whiteside was recently noted as one of the 107 community hospital CEO's to know in 2023, according to Becker's Hospital Review.
Nicole Marlow, PhD, MSPH, has been invited by the 988 Formative Research Project to serve as a member of the 988 Formative Research People with Disabilities Guidance Panel. This population-specific guidance panel - for people with disabilities ages 13 and older - is a new addition to the evolving project, which already focuses on six groups at the highest risk of suicide.
Molly Jacobs, MS, PhD (University of Florida) and co-author Patrick Briley, MS, PhD (East Carolina University) recently published a study analyzing a group of young adults with stuttering, finding that there is a statistically higher prevalence of asthma, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and depression among them compared to young adults without stuttering.
Last week, the graduating UF MHA Class of 2023 participated in the first Hooding and Awards Ceremony for the UF MHA program. Hoods were bestowed by Dr. R.
