MHA C-Suite Tour

MHA C-suite 2015 for web

On February 5th -6th, MHA students took to the road to tour healthcare organizations on the west coast of Florida. Students began in Bradenton at Manatee Memorial Hospital. During the fall semester, Manatee Memorial Hospital CEO Kevin DiLallo spoke to students as ACHE Regent about ACHE. At that time, he offered to help with student development in the future. Students began their tour in the Emergency Department and walked their way through the hospital, ending in a conference room to discuss healthcare with hospital executives. In St. Petersburg, students were treated to meeting healthcare professionals at All Children’s Hospital John Hopkins Medicine. It was exciting to see alumni of the program, Kristine Kirstein and Sarah Stephens, succeeding in their post-graduate careers. The final stop was in Largo at Parallon Tampa Shared Services Office. The tour began with CEO Patty Gentile explaining what Parallon does, followed by a tour of the facility. Many UF students have completed internships at different Parallon locations. Last year, two students continued on to begin their careers with Parallon. In touring a variety of organizations, students were able to see the process of healthcare delivery in different settings.
