Three UF MHA students and two Health Services Research, Management and Policy faculty travel to compete at 17th Annual UAB Case Competition in Birmingham, Alabama.

Last month, UF MHA students Makenna Slack (Captain, ’23), Yamileth Gonzalez Rodriguez (’23), and Liam Ngo (’24) competed against 41 schools at the 17th University of Alabama Healthcare Administration Case Competition in Birmingham, Alabama. The competition spanned the course of several days, February 22nd through the 24th.

The case competition is a privileged opportunity for students to apply knowledge and analytical skillset to a real practical case. Each of the students developed and presented the comprehensive and innovative palliative and hospice-care model integrated with the home-care model.

Their feasible and practical solution ions were well-received by the stakeholder judges. The Department of Health Services Research, Management and Policy is grateful to and proud of these future healthcare leaders!
