On August 25th, UF HASA hosted a kick-off event for the fall 2023 semester at Swamp Head Brewery, a local brewing company in Gainesville, Florida.

Those invited included first and second year UF MHA students, along with UF MHA faculty, as well as several local UF MHA alumni who all joined to network and mingle. Purchases and admission costs all benefitted in support of HASA.

HASA, standing for Healthcare Administration Student Association, is a student organization operating to promote opportunities for professional development, networking capabilities, and public service in support the UF MHA program.

First-year student Emily Kintz pointed out that she “enjoyed chatting with the 2nd years and getting to know [her] 1st year classmates better.” She notes that “the 2nd years were able to give some insight on the program and advice on what to expect.”

“It was great to see both classes strengthening the bond of Gator Nation and at this first event!”, shared Abigail Lamm, UF MHA Class of 2024.

HASA events from September and October also included fundraisers at Germain’s, a volleyball social, and several Lunch & Learn opportunities. More information for upcoming events can be found by following UF HASA on Instagram (@UFHASA) and on LinkedIn (UF HASA).
