World Diabetes Day 2018

Join the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the UF Diabetes Institute for a World Diabetes Day event on November 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the HPNP Auditorium
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Opening remarks will be delivered by the American Diabetes Association’s 2016 President of Medicine & Science, Desmond Schatz, MD. Ronny Bell, Ph.D., will give a keynote address on “Challenges & Opportunities in Achieving Diabetes Health Equity”. Dr. Ronny Bell is the Chair of Public Health at Eastern Carolina University and is a leading expert in health disparities in type 2 diabetes. Florida Surgeon General and Secretary of the Florida Department of Health, Celeste Philip, MD, MPH, will be a special honored guest. Dr. Ashby Walker, a HSRMP faculty member, has facilitated the planning of this event!
